Baltimore Orioles Ban Batman From Ball Park (VIDEO)

Baseball fans in Baltimore have not had much to cheer about in recent years. The Orioles have won fewer than 70 games in each of the last five seasons. The last time they finished the season without a losing record was 1997 (when they won 98 games and took first in the division). Basically, for the last 14 seasons these guys have sucked.

So it is almost understandable when a young fan might become a little overzealous in his attempt to have a good time at the ball game. Add a few beers and it is entirely plausible that a fan might be willing to do something a little crazy for his/her own entertainment and for the entertainment of the fans--like jump the outfield wall and run around the field like an idiot.

In Mark Harvey's case, aka 'the Baltimore Batman,' there was no lack of control courtesy of alcohol. It was all premeditated. How else can you explain the ridiculously good quality of the video and the outfit when he decided to due the deed at the Orioles home opener last Friday against the Minnesota Twins (a game the Orioles actually won 4-2)?

Ball parks typically prosecute these idiots for making baseball games last even longer than they already do, but in this case 26-year old Mark Harvey was lucky. For some reason odd reason charges were not pressed (but he has been banned for life from Camden Yards). No official reason has been given, but Mark says it was his birthday...

Than again, it does have people talking about the Orioles without the manager being fired; anyone else sense a conspiracy?
