Not everybody has the cash to burn on the latest gadgets and devices. Obviously basic needs like food, water, rent, (and maybe cable? Nah, just kidding!) take precedence over getting the latest smartphone or tablet that gets released. Like, say, the new iPad.

That's especially heartbreaking for gadget lovers who'd give anything to take Apple's latest gizmo out for a spin. Sure, the new iPad has an overheating issue (which Apple vehemently denies), but it's also got an impressive 5-megapixel iSight camera, runs on an ultra-fast A5X chip, and boasts of a 3.1 million-pixel Retina display.

But here's some good news for the cash-strapped folks out there: you can still get your hands on the new iPad--even if you don't have $499 to spare.

All you need is $24.95 a month and a subscription to Ybuy, which is a gadgets rental service, and you just might be one of the first Ybuy users to sample the new iPad. Here's how it works: Ybuy is an exclusive, members-only gadgets rental site that offers its users the opportunity to try out a hand-picked gadget that is available in the site's gallery for up to a month. Users can then decide if they want to buy it or return it to Ybuy if they don't.

Ybuy will be getting their shipment of iPads soon and its members will be allowed to check out with the device starting April 1st. (And no, to the best of out knowledge, this isn't an April's Fool gag.) The not-so-good news is that membership to Ybuy is by invitation only, so you might want to hit up some people in your network for an invite so you can sign up.
