You might have already heard about gadgets that can take over TV remote controls, jam signals, or hijack digital cameras. These gadgets aren't just some urban tech legend, because they actually do exist, but usually as separate devices.

And it's for this fact that the Ninja Remote is special, because it's probably the first of its kind to boast of all of these functions, all combined in one neatly-designed little package.

You can guess from its name that the Ninja Remote was created with rather mischievous intentions in mind. It's the perfect device for pranksters because its powerful range of 400 feet makes sure you can do your bidding while keeping the people you're pranking in the dark.

So how does it work? Basically, the Ninja Remote screws around with the infrared signals of (you guessed it!) IR-controlled electronics. Here are some of the buttons on the remote, as well as what they can do:

  • Bomb button - Randomly changes the volume and channels slowly over a fifteen-minute period
  • Jam button - Jams all other remotes from controlling the device
  • Camera button - Take pictures remotely on virtually all digital cameras
  • Dedicated buttons like power, video, volume, channel, mute, and light to manually control each of these basic TV functions

I know a few celebrity stalkers who could probably use one of these remotes. To jam the outdoor television sets of some actresses who love sunbathing, perhaps?

These Stealth Remotes are available online for $29.95 from NinjaRemote.com, in case you want to get one for yourself.
