I don't like clowns. Never have. Even as a small child they scared the living crap out of me. Maybe it's because I spent my formative years in Mexico and there is nothing more disturbing than a Mexican circus. Then when I was thirteen I saw Stephen King's IT starring Tim Curry and I would forever be afraid of these grease-painted monsters. So, you can imagine my horror when I learned of a hotel in Nevada that is clown themed called, aptly, the Clown Motel. Not only clown themed, it's clown saturated. Every room has a clown theme and there are hundreds of clown figurines adorning the lobby. It's also in a small town called Tonopah in the middle of nowhere, you know, where no one can hear your screams. Did I mention that it is built next to a graveyard full of long dead miners and prospectors? Well, it is. If the clowns don't get you with their sharp, sharp teeth then the miner ghosts will.
I consider myself a modern logical person but I can't help but think that there is something deeply disturbing and supernatural going on at the the Clown Motel. Or maybe it's not supernatural at all, just a murderous clown that will slit your throat at night. Dum, dum, duh, duh, duh, duh, DEAD!
