Ironically, two of the biggest stories in sports last week had nothing to do with sports. First of all, there's Manti Te'o and his whole fake girlfriend issue. His story reinforces the unspoken commandment that thou shall not enter a long-distance relationship if thou has not yet met the person of interest in person.
Next is Lance Armstrong, who finally admitted to Oprah that he doped his way to several medals. He's been called out for bullying people who called him out on doping, and his reputation as a big bully has been further cemented now that he's come clean on all the doping that he did then.
Called by Piers Morgan on Twitter as a 'snivelling, lying, cheating little wretch', Lance has been the subject of many debates since then.
The press have been having a field day ever since both pieces of news broke out. Saturday Night Live decided to take advantage of it as well by featuring both in their show last weekend and can I say that it was just freaking hilarious? They somehow managed to poke fun at Morgan in the skit as well, knocking three birds with one stone and bowling the audience over with some pretty solid comedy.
Three parting hashtags: #LieStrong, #Teoing, #LiveWrong.
