Django Unchained is fast becoming the most successful film under Quentin Tarantino's ever-expanding belt. And while it's never been much of a secret that much of his film's are cobbled together from pop culture references and pre-existing material (such as 1978's The Inglorious Bastards or 1966's Django), I'm sure Mel Brooks was probably the last thing on Tarantino's mind when he dreamt up the story for Django Unchained (although the KKK mask scene is funny enough to have come from a Brooks' movie), but the good folks over at Vulture discovered that there's more in common between Django Unchained and the western comedy Blazing Saddles than you  might have imagined.
