For decades, cinephiles from coast to coast have been clamoring for more Doubtfire. You asked, and Hollywood listened.

OK, maybe you weren't really demanding a followup to the 1993 cross-dressing comedy. But you're getting one anyway. Robin Williams and director Chris Columbus are both on board, according to The Hollywood Reporter, and Elf screenwriter David Berenbaum is attached as well.

The original film told the story of a divorced father in his 40's who dressed up as an English nanny in her 60's in order to covertly spend more time with his kids. Will the story of a man in his 60's dressing up like a woman in her 60's pack the same comedic punch? I have no idea. But I do know I'll have a good laugh once the accusations of "Transphobia" start getting thrown around the Internet. How far we've come since 1993! (Source)
