So here we are, Ego-gents. June is close enough to… y’know, smell or lick or whatever. That means we’re almost halfway through 2016. A time for reflection. How’s the grand plan you started the year off with going? Is that new job/rehab/nymphomaniacs anonymous group going well? I sure hope so.
The other thing about June is, it’s just a regular ol’ new month. Which, natch, means it’s time to check in on Microsoft and their Games With Gold lineup. What do Xbox One and Xbox 360 have in store for us? Let’s take an ogle.
Gold members, as usual, have four titles to choose from, two on each system. First up, on the One, we have the ever-mocktastic, batshit crazy Goat Simulator. That’s up for download all through June. It’s joined by the much-hyped-a-couple-years-back racer The Crew, from June 16 to July 15.
Xbox 360 players can get themselves a slice of Super Meat Boy from June 1-15. From the sixteenth to the end of the month, that becomes XCOM: Enemy Unknown.
The standards of free downloads have been fairly craptacular lately, but that’s quite a good crop right there. If you’ve missed any of these, it’s sure worth a trip to the Xbox store to give them a go. If you want to get in on this action, the games start becoming available a week today.
