As all you Ego-dads will know, it’s not easy being a parent. There are 3am feedings, little urchins doing the starfish in your bed with their toenails in your scrote, legos left all over the damn floor for you to step on barefoot… it’s just such a magical time.
Then there are the asshole boyfriends you have to fend off with your shotgun. So all in all, not easy. But it is freaking awesome. There’s no feeling like raising a little dude or dudette who loves you, who you have a special bond with (because ‘with whom’ is way too fancy-ass for me to type).
In Dad Quest, said special bond seems to involve hurling your small child at enemies to knock them out (the enemies), like a squishy -yet-powerful little living fleshy projectile you made with your own loins. This is one from South Park’s kick the baby school of parenting, and it’s goddamn funny.
This hilarious indie title is on Steam Greenlight right now, an action platformer done right. Its slogan is ‘raise your child to be the weapon it was meant to be,’ which no doubt tells you all you need to know. Get on this trailer, right now.
