Barney The Dinosaur Raps Notorious B.I.G

I have a weird family connection to Barney the dinosaur. My cousin was the original token Latino in the multicultural cast of kids. It brought great shame to our family. She is still bragging about her time on Barney twenty years later. I tell her that that's nothing to boast about. Barney was perhaps the worst children's TV show of all time. Where Sesame Street was educational and fun and Mr. Rodgers taught important moral lessons, Barney was just a show about a mentally challenged purple dinosaur talking about friendship. Around the same time that Barney was melting kid's brains, a rapper came out of Brooklyn that would be taken too soon. I'm talking, of course, about the Notorious B.I.G. Biggie was one of the most gifted rappers of all time and he pretty much invented a style that would be copied by all the rappers that came after, especially Jay Z. One of his most popular songs was Big Poppa in which he tells the tale of what happens when he and Puffy hit the club.
