GAMING

That's a whole holy hell of a lot of achievements, right there.
Back when achievements/trophies were first introduced, they were a huge deal. There was nothing too ridiculous for players to do, if it'd earn them that elusive popup on the screen. Whether as a point of pride, for OCD's sake, or to allow you to wave your e-peen about a little more, it was go platinum/100%'ed or go home.
For some of us, it still is. The achievement addict will buy horribly, horribly craptacular games like Hannah Montana The Movie: The Game in the name of quickly boosting their Gamerscore. And more power to them.
But now, addicts, feast your eyes on the mothereffin' motherlode. We have officially reached 100,000 different achievements (across all platforms which support them: Xbox One, Xbox 360, Windows and beyond), TrueAchievements reports. How much Gamerscore is that? The mind boggles. That's the kind of scrote-shrivelling terrifying math I can't even contemplate on a Monday morning.
Destructoid, in breaking the news, also brought us their list of the top five most-earned achievements, which make interesting reading:
Cluster Buster in Hexic HD (Get a total of 25 combos across all of your games)
Landfall in Halo 3 (Finish the first mission of the Campaign on Normal, Heroic, or Legendary)
Two Birds with One Stone in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (Kill 2 enemies with a single bullet in Single Player or Special Ops)
Prison Breakout in Gears of War (Completed tutorial level on any skill level)
Star Gazer in Hexic HD (Form a cluster of three bonus-star pieces)
So now you know.
