2009's Zombieland, while not a perfect movie, is certainly a perfectly enjoyable movie with some great gags, decent zombie action, and a game cast. It also had one of the great cameos of the 21st century from Bill Murray, who wasn't credited or advertised as being in the movie, making his surprise inclusion in the film—and subsequent death—all the more hilarious.
That's why it's a real shame that they've spoiled his appearance in the upcoming sequel Zombieland: Double Tap in this latest red-band trailer. It also makes relatively little sense in the grand scheme of things since he was killed in the first film and appears to once again be playing himself, so who knows what's going on? At least it was a decently funny joke they spoiled, though it's nowhere near as inspired as anything he said the first time around.
The world truly didn't need Zombieland: Double Tap, but there are a great many things we didn't need that we got regardless. Just add this one to the pile, I suppose. Also, what sort of contract did they make them sign the first time around that required them to all come back for this sequel? Something tells me Emma Stone doesn't make it out of the first act.
Zombieland: Double Tap hits theaters a week from Friday, on October 18.
