Xbox 360 Backwards Compatibility Unlock AKA ‘How to Brick Your Xbox One’

There sure are a lot of gullible people on the planet. That much was proven when 4Chan's Xbox hack-slash-prank went viral. Someone essentially created an infographic of sorts that contained instructions on how to add Xbox 360 backwards compatibility on the Xbox One. It looked legit and the instructions seemed clear-cut and technical-sounding, which convinced a lot of people to go for it.

However, it didn't add backwards compatibility to their consoles. Instead, the instructions bricked the consoles! This just goes to show that you should never be too quick to believe what you read or see on the Internet, because it might just royally screw you over.
