Ok, word on the street is that World War Z is pretty good. (It is.)  More importantly, it made a bunch of dollars in its first weekend -- $118 million worldwide, according to the The Hollywood Reporter. In a move that's becoming somewhat of a trend this summer, Paramount executive Rob Moore told THR that they are already working on a sequel.

This should come as a big fat relief to fans of the books and the original trilogy-style franchise they were meant to become. Earlier this year, before the movie was even finished, everyone lost their shit because they thought it was  going to be terrible. Some of us believe that a public fatigued by undead overexposure was to blame. (Those of you that have slept through more than your fair share of Walking Dead snoozers can attest to that fact.) But, it turns out they needed Damon Lindelof to rescue it from total suckage.

Whatever he did, it looks like it worked -- because people are seeing that thing in mindless hordes.
