This year's English Premier League season has probably been the most unpredictable campaign since the league's inception in 1992.

Just think about it. Manchester City scored 6 goals at Old Trafford as they defeated last year's champions 6 - 1. However this was only after Manchester United had defeated perennial underachievers Arsenal by 8 goals to 2 at the same stadium.

Arsenal then scored 5 away at Chelsea but then United came back from 3-0 down to equalise against the blues themselves. All the while Mario Balotelli has confirmed himself as one of the craziest mofo's to ever play the game and somehow United find themselves with a 5 point lead going into the remaining 4 games having played pretty tepidly all year.

It's been exhausting.

But which of the Manchester clubs looks the team most likely to lift this season's trophy? Mancini's Man City? Or Sir Alex Ferguson's Manchester United?

Only 5 points separate the two teams and with United still having to visit the Etihad, City will no doubt believe that a victory then could rock their rivals and cause them to have an end of season wobble that will allow them to capitalize. But Ferguson's men have been here before and having won 12 out of the last 19 titles he'll be thoroughly confident that his side can achieve glory again.

Alongside the derby on Monday 28th April, United have still got to play Everton (h), Swansea (h) and Sunderland (a) whilst City's run in sees them compete against Wolves (a), Newcastle (a) and Q.P.R (h). United will favour their games as each of the sides they are facing have nothing left to play for whilst City have got to visit teams competing for Champions League places and survival.

It seems that Fergie's men will be lifting the trophy again but Mancini's team has made great strides and City will be even hungrier and more prepared next year.
