TV & FILM

If it feels like it's been a while since you've seen Keanu Reeves in a sci-fi flick wearing a goofy looking helmet, you're right. It's high time we get him back in familiar territory, spitting out techno jargon and mumbo jumbo while on autopilot, and that's exactly what this new trailer for the film Replicas delivers.
Reeves is in full-on somnambulant mode in this new film from something called Entertainment Studios, which sounds like a fake studio. The film's director, Jeffrey Nachmanoff, has mostly directed television and this marks his first feature since 2008's Traitor starring Don Cheadle.
As for that bit about "From a Producer of Transformers" in the trailer, they're referring to notorious schlockmeister Lorenzo di Bonaventura, whose first film was another Reeves vehicle, 2005's Constantine. Also, according to /Film, this flick debuted a trailer last October, and the only thing we've gotten in the interim is another trailer. All of this is to reinforce the notion that this film looks terrible for a reason. The reason: It is most likely a terrible movie.
No word on an American release date, though—if imdb is to be believed—the lucky folks in Lithuania can check it out starting October 26. Sorry Netherlands, you have to wait until December 6...
