We were all very sad to hear about the passing of Green Mile-star Michael Clarke Duncan over the weekend at 54. The Oscar-nominated actor suffered a heart attack earlier in the summer and never fully recovered. Known as much for his deep voice as he was his imposing figure, MCD was a prolific character actor who could play dangerous just as well as funny and sympathetic from project-to-project and versatility will surely be missed from cinemas from now on.
Duncan, who didn't get his big break in the industry until nearly forty, was remembered by his former co-star Tom Hanks, who released a statement saying, 'I am terribly saddened at the loss of Big Mike. he was the treasure we all discovered on the set of The Green Mile. He was magic. He was a big love of man and his passing leaves us stunned.'
While it's hard to sum up a man's career in a few short clips, we found of our favorite MCD moments from over the years to share with you below.
