Good news for fans of Breaking Bad. While most of your favorite characters may be dead or in hiding, several of them may live on thanks to the power of prequels.
While discussing Better Call Saul with The Hollywood Reporter, series creator Vince Gilligan confirmed his plans to include several familiar faces in the Breaking Bad spinoff.
'Personally, I'd have a hard time resisting putting all these guys in for a cameo or two every now and then,' said Gilligan, who stopped short of dropping specific names. But given the nature of prequels, it's safe to say that anyone from the Breaking Bad universe is fair game.
Gillian went on to say that while the new show will focus more on comedy, it will also maintain the same one-hour drama format of its predecessor.
"We're both one-hour drama guys," he said. "So we figured, 'Why not shoot Saul in the same way?' Let's shoot it in Albuquerque, let's get as much of the crew back together as possible, and let's do it the way we did it before so that it will be of a piece with that pre-existing fictional universe that we had so much fun creating."
Better Call Saul is slated for late 2014 on AMC.
