As many in the gametastic world have said, Xbox One and PS4 have never been all that big on the ‘killer app' thing. Around release, the lack of true ballbustingly essential titles kept a lot of us from taking the new console plunge. Maybe it still is.

It's been a couple years now, and the AAA landmark franchises have started to creep in on both ends. The Halo 5s and such of the world. Down PlayStation way, Uncharted has been a big freaking deal for some time, and the latest release is getting a first class seat on the hype train.

We've already seen, for instance, the Uncharted 4: A Thief's End limited edition PS4. It's pretty artsy, all told, even if our ol' buddy Nathan Drake does look far too moody and smoldering in the design on the front. You're raiding tombs and such, not recording the music video for some whiny break-up song in a back alley in the rain somewhere.

Anywho, today we're ogling a fresh new trailer for A Thief's End. It's not clear yet whether this is really the last game, or just Naughty Dog's last before Uncharted changes studios, but one thing's sure: the developer's going out with a hell of a bang. It's all about the story this time, which we haven't heard too much about before. Check it out.

A Thief's End hits April 26.
