Did you find yourself watching the teaser trailer for Avengers: Age of Ultron and thinking, "What the hell is that song? I know that song!" (In the unlikely event that you have not seen the trailer, you can find it below.)
Well, I'll tell you what that song was. It was "I've Got No Strings," and it's from Disney's 1940 animated classic Pinocchio. Sung in a creepy falsetto, it was a slower, more ominous version of the song than the one people know from the animated film. But that's what it was. And it was a fitting allusion, too, since Ultron is a robot created by Tony Stark (in the film, not the comics) who comes to life and becomes "free," just like Pinocchio.
That said, it was also a little weird to hear a comic book supervillain bent on taking over the world singing a song from a children's movie. And that got the folks from "How It Should Have Ended" thinking: what would it have been like if Ultron had sung other famous Disney songs in the trailer?
So they made the video above...which you've probably already watch. Pretty sweet, right?
