This movie isn't for the faint-hearted. Get ready for goosebumps and for the hair on the back of your neck to stand up on end when you hit "Play" to watch the trailer for Lionsgate's late-summer horror flick, The Possession.
The creepy thing is that the movie is based on a true story, inspired by an article entitled Jinx in a Box that appeared in the Los Angeles Times.
Imagine some sort of creature growing inside a girl, just fighting to get out, while all sorts of creepy stuff happen in the forefront. Let me just say that it's not pretty. Not pretty at all.
Clyde (Jeffrey Morgan) and Stephanie Brenek (Kyra Sedgwick) see little cause for alarm when their youngest daughter Em becomes obsessed with an antique wooden box she purchased at a yard sale. But as Em's behavior becomes increasingly erratic, the couple fears the presence of a malevolent force in their midst, only to discover that the box was built to contain a dibbuk, a dislocated spirit that inhabits and ultimately devours its human host.
The screaming begins on August 31st, when The Possession hits theaters nationwide.
