One of the most beloved product mascots is Frosted Flakes' Tony the Tiger. He's been around since the 60's and has been shilling sugar coated corn flakes ever since. Kids love him. But they aren't the only ones. The furry subculture is really into Tony and his hyper-masculine build. In case you don't know, a furry is a person who is sexually turned on by anthropomorphic animals. Some of them even dress up like dog-men, wolf-chicks, etc. and get it on. Tony's Twitter page has been a target for these furries to make sexually suggestive comments. No more. Tony has had enough. For a long time, he just ignored their advances. But now he will block and report anyone who makes a sexy comment. The furry community is up in paws over it. They feel that they are being discriminated against.
I'm all for people doing whatever they want in the bedroom as long as no one gets hurt. But come on. I can't take furries seriously. Getting turned on by cartoon animals seems profoundly weird to me. I'm with Tony on this one.
