There is a theory called the uncanny valley that applies to this story. It states that at a certain point in trying to make an artificial character more realistic you hit a wall in which that same character becomes creepy. Think about Kermit the Frog and then remember the Skeksis from The Dark Crystal. Both were made by the same people but one is cute and cuddly and the other is creepy as F. The same thing goes with mannequins, ventriloquist dummies, and CGI monstrosities like Jar Jar Binks. Possibly the most disturbing manifestation of the uncanny valley is the realistic looking sex dolls. I don't know how people can have sex with those things. They are nightmarish rubber ghouls. Now imagine a sex doll with a monster mask that dances provocatively and follows you with her eyes. It's all part of an art installation by weirdo artist Jordan Wolfson. Sounds horrifying, right? Like, kill yourself to make it stop horrifying?
Enjoy the video but don't say I didn't warn you.
