Things That Will Make You Want To Die: People Lauding Ableist Headline Redaction

The only headline I would ever change is "Oh Shoot" because it should have been "Cruz Control," but some dumpy website in New Zealand that doesn't have the journalistic integrity that we do changed a headline about a red tartar kid or whatever after it offended red tartar readers. Now the fact that they slightly altered a headline to appease the four people who gave a shit is getting coverage, including a post on BuzzBottomFeeder.

Writer Rebecca Moore originally chose the headline "Teenager bound by wheelchair to enter in first Lego competition." This is obviously insanely offensive and should be what we focus all of our attention on right now. The kid wasn't slighted by God and Jesus and just a total freak of nature for being basically a cyborg. He's lucky to be in the wheelchair, not "bound" by it, okay you ableists? Being a crippled joke is the best. After Twitter users put up a fight, the website "stuff" changed the headline to "Teen wheelchair user enters first Lego competition" - a change that was apparently significant enough to draw applause from advocates high off of the most important civil rights win in the history of the world. Rosa Parks? Go fuck yourself. Harvey Milk? AIDS much.

I'm not sure exactly what year everyone got sand in their vaginas, but, "ableist" isn't a real term, and identifying someone as being technically "bound" to a wheelchair isn't an opinion as much as it is a fact. Or am I missing something. What I do know is that "ageist" is the real thing that we should all be fighting against, and I can't help but notice that the article's author identified the cripple as a "Teenager." Seriously not cool. He's age non-binary you ignorant bitch. Everyone knows the headline should have been "You gotta handicap it to him."
