Things That Are Sad: Naya Rivera Auditioning For Spielberg On Instagram

The alternate title for this post is "Kim Kardashian Looks Great" because as their plastic surgery journeys continue, Naya Rivera and Kim Kardashian are beginning to look very similar, and at this point I would say that Rivera is actually winning. She looks like the Pussycat Doll that was found at the pound after being run over by a car, and it just works. Rivera at one point I think had some sort of career  - she was on Glee, so, IDK what that means - but now she's resorted to auditioning for roles that she'll never get on social media. Lindsay Lohan thought she had the market cornered on manically reaching out to people for movie parts while in the midst of a psychotic break, but this little industry trick has now been scooped up by Rivera. And let me tell you. It looks as tragic and bleak as ever.

Steven Spielberg is at the beginning stages of producing and directing a remake of West Side Story - a musical epic about rival homosexual gangs in New York City. According to her Instagram caption, emailing a video is technologically prohibitive at this point in time, so instead of going through the correct channel to be laughed at by a casting agency, she's going through the incorrect channel to be laughed at by the world. Sneaky girl. She states:

@unitedtalentagency file was too big to send via email for my audition. Thought I'd try it this way.

Even if this a clever ploy for media coverage - after all, we know that Naya is still alive as of the time this post was written - in order to have a mic drop moment, you need to be not awful. I truly don't like the belting diva I've-got-the-vocal-runs sound, so I'm not the best to judge, but I do know that when I wouldn't not pay to listen to Lea Michele cover the same song instead, we've got a problem. With some of these facial expressions, Rivera might at least be good at porn. And now we're back to Kim Kardashian. Full circle.
