I'm a native Texan so naturally stories about outlaw antiheroes taking on a corrupt system are right up my alley. That's why we all love westerns, isn't it? Because the people in them do the kinds of things that we are unable or unwilling to try. Plus they got to shoot people from horseback. In the new film Hell or High Water two brothers, played by Chris Pine and Ben Foster, go on a bank robbing spree stealing money from the banks that want to foreclose on their farm to then pay them back with their own money. They do this with the help of a lot of guns and gumption. Like the trailer says, this is the most Texan tale I've ever heard. Jeff Bridges also stars as a grizzled Texas Ranger that is trying to catch them.
It's bleak, exciting, and full of dirty people doing bad things. What mare could you want?
