“The Revenant” Is Basically Just “The Oregon Trail” Game

The Revenant is a film by Alejandro Gonzalez Iñarritu and starring Leonardo DiCaprio that is supposedly based on true events. It takes place in the Wild West times and is a story of survival in spite all odds and there is a bear in it too. But what it really reminds me of is the old Oregon Trail game from the 80's. If you are of a certain age you remember this game. It was what your teacher had you play when they didn't feel like teaching anymore. Basically, it too was a story of survival in the old west. I just kept dying of dysentery but it was a fun game for the time. Apparently, the folks over at Vulture agree with me and made this mash-up of The Revenant and The Oregon Trail.

This movie is probably going to finally get DiCaprio that Oscar he's wanted since he was 17. That or he'll be killed by Native Americans. Either way.
