Animal Planet has a very popular show called "Finding Bigfoot" in which researchers in Sasquatch studies try to, well, find Bigfoot. There are a lot of night vision videos of people walking around forests at night hoping to stumble across some kind of giant ape man creature. The problem is that the show has been on for 6 seasons and they have yet to find Bigfoot. So, the very title of the show seems like false advertising. Maybe it's because Bigfoot doesn't exist or maybe these guys have just had bad luck. What is amazing to me is that Animal Planet keeps renewing the show that has yet to do what the title says it should do. One of the Bigfoot experts Matt Moneymaker says,
"One thing I've always felt was a problem with the show is that we set up this false expectation that somehow we were going to meet up with the Bigfoot and end up holding hands with him and pow-wowing or handcufffing one and putting him in our trunk."
Putting him in handcuffs and sticking him in your trunk is a little serial killer-like, but I get the point. Then again, if they did find Bigfoot then the show would be over, wouldn't it. I smell a conspiracy.
