TV & FILM
Michael Garcia - May 4, 2016
I'm in my late thirties which means that I grew up with The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I enjoyed the comic books, the animated TV series, and the wonderful movies made with Jim Henson magic. Then came the dark times of the TMNT reboot. Sure, they have Megan Fox as April O'Neil and that's great for eye candy, but c'mon. Do you believe she's a crack reporter? Neither do I. The turtles look like giant green turds in masks and their dialogue makes the script from the original movie look like Shakespeare. In this sequel, (was there really a call for a sequel?), the turtles are back to fight against the Foot Clan. Old favorites like Casey Jones and Beebop and Rocksteady are also going to appear for the first time. There are rumors that Krang will also appear.
I can't imagine a world in which kids like these movies. I know that kids have no taste and like total crap, but these movies are so bad that I can't believe that any child would like it. As for the older audience like me looking for nostalgia, they aren't going to find it. I'm going to skip this one.
