When The Hangover first came out in 2009, it did more than just rake in $277 million at the box office. It made Bradley Cooper one of the biggest stars in Hollywood, it made Zach Galifianakis a household name (that nobody knows how to spell), and it prompted 65% of males between the ages of 16 and 29 to wear Blue Blockers, a fake beard, and a Baby Bjorn for Halloween.
However, as popular as the raunchy buddy comedy was, nobody figured it would become part of a Triology. But it has, and the epic saga of hysterical substance abuse is coming to an end with The Hangover III.
The first trailer for the grand finale came out several weeks ago, but it didn't reveal much about the story arc. The new one, however, lays out the basic premise: Alan's dad dies, he falls into a Lohanesque spiral of depression and drug abuse, the wolfpack stages an intervention, and on the way to rehab Doug gets kidnapped by John Goodman. Sounds hilarious, right?
Okay, maybe not the way I tell it. But I'm sure you'll enjoy the movie. It hits theaters May 24, 2013.
