I can't say I was an avid viewer of the original Mr. Peabody & Sherman cartoons, especially considering The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show went off the air decades before I was born. But from what I do remember seeing via reruns, there weren't a lot of butt and fart jokes. Thankfully, the remake seems to have corrected this oversight, since we're treated to both in the trailer (cow farts and "butt" rhymes). We also get to see Mr. Peabody invent the fist pump, as well as planking. Remember planking? I don't.
But enough with the unwarranted negativity. Ty Burrell is the voice of Peabody, and he's usually pretty funny. And having Patrick Warburton in your cartoon cast is never bad thing. So as long as they didn't turn Mr. Peabody into Poochie the Rocking Dog, maybe the film will be enjoyable.
The film hits theaters March 7th.
