While the new film The Layover is ostensibly a "girls night out" kind of movie, it's actually the ultimate male fantasy. The premise finds best friends Alexandra Daddario and Kate Upton newly unemployed and stuck in a St. Louis hotel on a flight layover where they battle one another to win over a guy. Seriously, that's the plot. Two of the most gorgeously big breasted women alive fight to be the first to bang a thoroughly average looking dude. If that's not the ultimate male fantasy movie, I don't know what is.
Interestingly, the film is directed by Oscar nominated actor William H. Macy, which doesn't make any sense when you first hear it and makes even less sense once you've watched the trailer. Seriously, you'd have an easier time convincing me that Frank Gallagher, the character he plays on Shameless, actually directed this movie. The film was also written by two dudes, one of whom is Rickety Cricket from It's Always Sunny. This movie may star two women, but I think it's being made exclusively for men.
Bear in mind, I'm in no way, shape, or form complaining about this. In fact, if your significant other asks you if you want to see this, rather than you having to convince her to see it, hang onto her. She's a keeper. The Layover hits theaters on September 1.
