TV & FILM

I do a post every week in which I examine an awesomely terrible movie that is available on Netflix. I define them as movies that are not good but are still entertaining, either ironically or not. Something like Masters of the Universe or The Room, for example. But some movies are just bad. Like, unwatchable bad. I'm not sure where Gods of Egypt will rank when it comes out. It may just be too terrible for words. You can tell a lot about a movie by the preview and this one looks bonkers. As far as I can tell, it is based loooooosely on the myth of Horus and Seth's fight for dominance from Egyptian mythology. It stars Jaime Lannister and King Leonidas as the titular gods of Egypt. What follows is a whole lot of truly terrible looking CGI. Remember the CGI Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson scorpion monster from the second Mummy movie? Yeah, like that. Maybe even worse. It reminds me more of a fantasy art screensaver I once saw in the 90's.
I will go ahead and say that this movie is going to be really, really bad. But only time will tell if it is also worth watching.
