Four times a year, LEGO does an official review of sets that achieved 10,000 supporters on the LEGO Ideas website and turns one or more of them into sets. Over the years, this has given us awesome LEGO sets from such properties as Back to the Future, Ghostbusters, Wall-e, Yellow Submarine, TRON: Legacy, and the amazing Voltron released earlier this year.
LEGO recently announced their winners for the latest round of voting—the final one for 2018—and one of the two sets will be a licensed set again, this time coming to us from The Flintstones. The set was designed by Andrew Clark, who has already had a LEGO Ideas set produced, 2015's Doctor Who. LEGO almost always revises the sets, so expect it to change before release, but you can get a closer look at the original model on the LEGO Ideas website.
There hasn't been much action in The Flintstones franchise for quite a while, though DC did release a killer 12 issue limited series based on the classic cartoon that ended last year. Check out some more pics of the LEGO set below and let us know if you're gonna pick one up when they go on sale next year in the comments section below.
