Now, I’m a cynical ol’ dude, and I’m set in my ways. I like my routine. I have my morning bowel movement at 7:23 (it’s just a shame I don’t wake up until 8, as the old joke goes), I always sit in my familiar ass groove in the couch, all of that good stuff. Â
I’m not the kind of guy who likes surprises. Surprises? You can eff off with them. That’s what I say to surprises. You’d think that if there was anything we could rely on in this crazy-ass world, it’d be the predictable nature of Xbox and PlayStation’s monthly Games with Gold/PS Plus freebie announcements. Sad fact is, though, you can’t.
These mad anarchists don’t give any effs, have no bedtime, fear nothing and nobody, only call their mamas five times a day, and release the details of their lineups whenever they damn well please. You’ve probably already guessed where I’m going with this, but Games with Gold are first up this month, and they’re pretty darn early.
Down Xbox One way, you can download yourself two ID@Xbox titles. The first is Team 17’s toontastic prison break ‘em up, The Escapists. That’ll be up for grabs from October 16 to November 15. Throughout the whole of October, you can also get Super Mega Baseball: Extra Innings.
Xbox 360 players, meanwhile, have a choice of racer MX vs ATV Reflex (October 1-15) and post-apocalyptic survival game I Am Alive. That’s quite a mix, right there, as is always the case with these things. Still, if anything here that sounds like your bag, there’s not long to wait before they hit Xbox Live.
