Talk about a beating. The Bears just embarrassed the Titans in their own house, scoring 51 points and showing the rest of the NFL that they can score on both sides of the ball just about every week. The Bears' defense was in total control, led by Charles Tillman, who forced four fumbles. Brian Urlacher returned an interception 46 yards for a TD in the rout.
The Rookie of the Week looked to be a lock for Andrew Luck when he set the NFL record for passing yards by a rookie with 433 yards and added two TDs in a pivotal win. Then Tampa Bay played Oakland and Doug Martin went nuts. Martin was born in Oakland and went to high school in Stockton, and apparently was excited to be playing in front of friends and family. 251 rushing yards and four TDs later, Martin put himself into the Offensive Rookie of the Year conversation.
Week nine concludes tonight with the Eagles playing the Saints in New Orleans.
