Yes, Doom, we know. You’re on the way in May. You’re bigger, badassier and more violence-amundo than ever before. You’re bringing spangly new melee finishers, Mortal Kombat-esque moves that let you tear your opponents limb from blood-leaking limb, and other charming stuff like that.
We know all of this. We also know that we’ll be able to give it a go for ourselves later this month, when the beta hits. We know, dude. Calm your shit.
Still, it’s not that easy to throw water on the coals of the Hype Train. I don’t know why the hell the Hype Train is still steam powered, come to that. It’s 2016, grandpa, have a damn good word with yourself. Anywho, here’s what I’m getting at: another slice of hype, in the shape of a new trailer, has arrived.
This one’s a lil’ different. The upcoming beta will only let us play a couple of the maps on offer, natch; betas being the tasty-ass little hors d’oeuvres that they are. The full release will feature nine at launch, and the clip gives us a quick look them. Behold Helix, Disposal, Infernal, Chasm, the sexy sounding Sacrilegious and a couple more. Holy nicely varied environments, Batman!
