I must admit that after watching the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre I cancelled my trip to Houston because I was afraid a man in a rawhide mask would jump out from behind a highway sign and bash my head in. Similarly, I also cancelled by trip to SXSW in Austin because I was afraid a hipster would jump out from behind a highway sign and sing cover versions of heavy metal songs to me on his ukulele while his girlfriend played back-up on a mandolin.
That's why I'm so terrified that they're continuing the rebooted Chainsaw franchise, this time in 3D and starring the uber-hot up-and-comer Alexandra Daddario.
The movie picks up where Tobe Hooper's 1974 original left off, following a young woman named Heather who inherits a mansion from a grandmother she never knew she had, only to discover that the chainsaw-wielding Leatherface still resides there.
Texas Chainsaw 3D hits theaters January 4th.
