The slew of Sound Cloud rappers to emerge over the past few years all look like they should be in jail, and now, at least one of them - Tekashi 6ix9ine - is. One look at 6ix9ine will tell you that he's obviously a Kennedy, so all of this seems very confusing and surprising. How could this guy, with that face, land in jail? Guess you can't judge a book by its cover after all.
According to Pitchfork, Daniel Hernandez (his real name) was affiliated with the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods gang:
The indictment accuses gang members of murder, robbery, assault, the sale of drugs, and more. Two of the charges Hernandez faces have a maximum penalty of life in prison.
Murder? Drugs? Assault? With this face in the picture above? I won't hear of it. U.S. Attorney Geoffrey S. Berman had this to say about Tekashi's arrest, as well of those of his fellow gang members:
As alleged in the indictment, this gang, which included platinum-selling rap artist Tekashi 6ix9ine, wreaked havoc on New York City, engaging in brazen acts of violence. Showing reckless indifference to others’ safety, members of the gang were allegedly involved in robberies and shootings, including a shooting inside the crowded Barclay’s Center, and a shooting in which an innocent bystander was hit.
According to TMZ, 6ix9ine got a rough start in the penile system, and instead of being granted segregated confinement as many celebs often are, he's currently hanging with the general population at the notoriously violent Brooklyn's Metropolitan Detention Center. If any of you have seen Oz, you'll have a pretty good idea of how this will pan out. THIS FACE? What are the odds.
