Team USA smoked Argentina again, this time by 26, to set up a gold medal rematch with Spain, whom they beat in the 2008 Olympics. The U.S. squad led by seven at the half, but once again used a blistering second half surge to pull away from Manu Ginobili and his Argentinian team.
Kevin Durant led the way with 19 points, while LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony each added 18 for the U.S. team, who hit 18 threes as a team. The international line is about a foot closer than the three point line, and throughout the Games, the U.S. has been filling it up from beyond the arc.
In the other semifinal, Spain scored just 20 points in the first half against Russia and trailed by 11, but then rallied in the second half to win 67-59 to get to Sunday's gold medal game.
