SUPEREGO

Back in the 90's something terrible was brewing that I believe was stopped from happening by the hand of the almighty. Tim Burton, director of the Michael Keaton Batman and Edward Scissorhands, teamed up with a super Superman fan to try and make a film called "Superman Lives". The only problem was that the fan in question was Nicolas Cage. By the 90's Nic Cage was already a parody version of himself and is completely wrong for the part of Superman. Can you imagine what that would even look like? Well, now you can.
Director John Schnepp created a new doc called "The Death of 'Superman Lives': What Happened?" in which he examines why this movie didn't happen. In it he shows Nicolas Cage in the Superman costume. It looks like shiny plastic and would have been an abomination. Also, his mullet isn't helping anything. I'm not saying that Tim Burton couldn't have made a decent Superman movie, but what I am saying is that 90% of directing is casting and he cast badly.
