GAMING

It's no secret that Microsoft's 'Kinect' hasn't made the best of impressions on gamers since it's release back in 2010. The idea is smart but the actual technology just hasn't lived up to the hype...yet. Capcom and From Software are determined to change all that.
If you haven't heard of Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor it's basically what you'd think when you read that title; guys in big machines blowing stuff up. There's also more to it than that. The main appeal of the game is that it's like a simulation of sorts, really putting you in the driver's seat and right into the action. The game is said to use both the Xbox 360 controller as well as Kinect, which seems like a recipe for confusion. The newest trailer, however, seems to really put some of those worries to rest and increases the chance that I'll be forking up the cash to have my own virtual 'heavy armor'.
While the game doesn't come out until June 19 in North America, the controls have been said to be somewhat difficult to adjust to so maybe taking a crash course with the tutorial isn't such a bad idea.
