GAMING

Last week, Finn himself Tweeted at Star Wars: Battlefront’s developers, hoping that a campaign mode might be added to the game. Single player missions are neat and all, but they seem a lil’ disconnected without a storyline to connect them. As that famous line from The Shining goes, all missions and no narrative progression makes John Boyega an angry Stormtrooper.
And you know what bastards Stormtroopers can be. You don’t want to tick them off. On seeing the Tweet, I assume, EA got to work as quickly as possible on some spangly new DLC, so as to appease the wrath of Boyega and his Knights of Ren (wait, wrong dude).
Now, there’s no story mode here, but it’s a fairly substantial offering. Let’s take an ogle at the Outer Rim expansion.
Here’s IGN with the skinny: ‘The new content will allow players to "fight among the factories of Sullust and battle within Jabba the Hutt's palace on Tatooine." It includes four new maps, a new mode, new weapons, and two playable heroes—Sullustan rebel Nien Nunb and Rodian bounty hunter Greedo.’
Said new mode is Extraction, which will see the Rebel team trying to make deliveries to their transport while the Empire team tries to do what they do best: shit on the little guy. The report states that the content will hit April 5, priced at $15, unless you’ve got yourself the $50 season pass.
