Batman might be a part of the Justice League, but that doesn't mean director Christopher Nolan will be joining its production crew anytime soon. Fresh from directing his third and final Batman movie, The Dark Knight Rises, Nolan begged off from getting involved with the Justice League project.

This doesn't come as much of a surprise, considering that Nolan has clarified time and again that he wasn't planning to revisit any of the Batman characters or its franchise, for that matter, once everything with The Dark Knight Rises wraps up.

Associated Press asked the director whether he had any plans for the Justice League movie, and Nolan's reply was simple.

No, none at all. We're finished with all we're doing with Batman. This is the end of our take on this character.

Nolan also revealed that he's done with the world of DC Comics (for now, we hope), and that he wouldn't be getting involved in any future Batman films when Warner Bros. decides to reboot the entire franchise.

Batman will outlive us all, and our interpretation was ours. Obviously, we consider it definitive and kind of finished. The great thing about Batman is he lives on for future generations to reinterpret, and obviously, Warners will have to decide in the future what they're going to do with him.

We've had our say on the character... I've got no plans to do anything more, and certainly, no involvement with any 'Justice League' project.

And there you have it, straight from Nolan's himself.
