Solo: A Star Wars Story was neither good nor bad, residing in a middle ground that leads to instant forgettability. Besieged with production woes, the fact that we even got a coherent film at all is something of an accomplishment, and the latest Honest Trailer from Screen Junkies mostly lets the film off the hook as a result.
It's a shame, too, because there was worlds of potential in the premise and the film really failed to live up to any of that promise. The handful of things that do work like Donald Glover, Woody Harrelson, and Thandie Newton are lightly glossed over while they harp on the things that don't, such as the film's insistence on showing us the origin of every piece of Han Solo ephemera imaginable.
Despite showing the clip twice in this video, I'm most upset over the fact that they really don't take that Imperial officer just giving people made up names to task. That's gotta be the guy that gave Jek Porkins his name, right? Has to be.
On the outside chance you haven't seen it yet and still want to, Solo: A Star Wars Story is available today on DVD, Blu-ray, and Digital HD.
