One of the films flying under the radar for this summer is The Mummy starring Tom Cruise and Sofia Boutella. A few months ago, a trailer for the film played in theaters without music or sound effects and I highly recommend checking it out because it's a thing of comedic beauty. This new thirty second teaser that showed up on Twitter yesterday has all of its music, dialogue, and sound effects intact, making it instantly better than that other trailer.

While Cruise is the face of the franchise and Russell Crowe's Dr. Henry Jekyll is obviously the voice thus far, that would make Sofia Boutella the sexy one in the franchise, and I'm pretty okay with that. Sure there's also the super hot Annabelle Wallis in this flick, so let's not act like we have to choose just one of these hot ladies to be "the sexy one." They can both share the title, I made it up a few minutes ago anyway, it's totally meaningless.

Mark my words, you don't want to go to sleep on this one. Tom Cruise makes solidly enjoyable flicks. Edge of Tomorrow was amazing, despite its lackluster title. Check it out sometime, it's like Groundhog Day meets Starship Troopers. If this is even half as enjoyable, it'll be money well spent.
