Think of something strange and eccentric, and you'll most likely find whatever that is in Japan. Cuddle cafes, washlets (okay, these are pretty neat), endless rows of vending machines for anything and everything...and now, nap cafes!
The Nap Cafe Corne in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo is exactly what its name implies. It invites patrons to come in and pay $1.50 to take a ten-minute nap in one of their curtained nap areas. It's primarily a cafe, so they also serve snacks and sandwiches for those who are awake. The weird part? It's for women only. Either they presume that men don't take naps or they already know that most guys would just nap at their desks or at some lounge and be done with it--without having to pay a single cent.
