Never again will you have to squint at a foreign menu and order whatever sounds the least scary when you're traveling or on vacation, because these smartglasses will translate each item for you--as you move your eyes over them.
These glasses probably don't have all the features that Google Glass, but at least it's a good start. These augmented reality translator glasses were developed by NTT Docomo, who hopes to have them ready before the world converges in Tokyo for the 2020 Olympics.
On the glasses , NTT Docomo says that "character recognition technology enables instant language translation for users traveling abroad and reading restaurant menus and other documents."
Aside from their translator features, the glasses can turn any flat screen into a touchscreen, where the user will manipulate a finger ring in order to activate the animated tags.
