Artists are a dime a dozen. Just go to any hipster part of town and you'll see dozens of "artists" having brunch on a Tuesday instead of doing any actual work. There are a lot of real working artists out there but most of them are pretty darn mediocre. Most that is except for the greatest living artist, actor, and provocateur of our lifetime. I'm talking, of course, about Shia LaBeouf. Who can forget his art installation where he sat in a room and stared at people or rode an elevator for a day? Brilliant? Stupid? Yes. Now he's decided to hitchhike across the United States, you know, for art. He's collaborating with artists Nastja Säde Rönkkö and Luke Turne on what will surely go down as the greatest work of art of the 21st century. He will tweet his coordinates and have people, anyone in the world, come and pick him up. They can take him wherever they want. A Burger King, a burned down dog toy factory, a shallow grave, whatever. You can follow it with the hashtag #TAKEMEANYWHERE.
Will he get murdered? Probably not. People like that never have any consequences for their actions. Maybe he'll get dropped off in the middle of nowhere and Large Marge will pick him up. That would be fitting.
