The amount of work that goes into any movie when it goes from set to screen is mind blowing, especially when dealing with effects-heavy films like Avengers: Infinity War. This new video shows off just how much work was put into less than thirty seconds of a two and a half hour movie, and it's guaranteed to make your head spin.
First of all, Bandisnatch Cummerbund looks super cool on screen doing all of those moves, but when you see him as just some schmo flailing his arms in front of a green screen, it looks undeniably ridiculous. Thank goodness for the visual effects artists of the world, because otherwise, these movies would look utterly ridiculous.
I'm curious to see, probably once the blu-ray comes out, how they got Thanos to look so damn good. He's looked like a big, purple Grimace monster in the past, but they actually made him a tangible, believable character. Granted I'd always rather have real actors over cgi ones, but I think they're finally getting it to the point where the cgi humanoids look pretty okay. They're not great yet, but they're much better than they used to be. Fingers crossed it only gets better from here.
Avengers: Infinity War is still playing in many locations and will be available on Blu-ray and DVD later this summer.
